The flat panel manufacturers of the Far East substantially overestimated flat panel sales for TVs, and flat panel prices took a dizzying drop in the slow market. With U.S. indium imports so strongly off, indium demand in North America is likely to be down in lead replacement markets; there are cheaper lead replacements available.
